HIT will be showcasing the talent of their apprentices by doing a live cooking demo and talking about how they strive to tackle the chef shortage through their apprenticeship programmes and their new chef academy. There will also be the opportunity to sample some of the food produced.
HIT Training have created the HIT Chef Academy which is an innovative training model for the culinary stars of the future. It aims to meet the rising demand for highly skilled chefs. Apprentice chefs are invited to take part in a series of workshops outside their normal apprenticeship schedule to enhance their skills and knowledge. Run by expert chef trainers at locations across the country, the training programme brings together the very best in culinary excellence to provide apprentices with the highest quality training, development and learning in the industry.
The chef shortage is a great topic to discuss at the show as it's a fundamental and well-documented challenge for the hospitality industry, and one that is now starting to have a real impact on the way organisations operate.
